I'm located amongst the Fennville and South Haven area. There are so many beautiful photo opportunities along the lake, beaches, state parks, woods, and downtown areas!
At this time, I do not have a studio space. If you are interested in a studio space, I know of a few near the Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids areas that we can coordinate with!
I use quality presets from the wonderful Dawn Charles that enable me to capture images that are timeless and natural. I love capturing moments, especially the in between ones. Whether it's the giggle fit your two year old falls into, the look your future hubby has as you walk down the aisle, or the tender moments during an engagement session, I am here for all of it!
Depending on the time of the year, the sunrise and sunsets can make for some gorgeous photos! In the summer we have longer days, so the closer we take photos to sunrise or sunset, the prettier the lighting will be. The same rule applies for the fall as the days shorten. So all in all, your session will be scheduled according to how the lighting will look. Photos will take place within the first two hours of sunrise and last two hours before sunset, so please keep this in mind when scheduling outdoor sessions.
I find it helps to find a color scheme you love, pick some favorites out of the closet, and go from there! Photos are one of the chances in life to get dressed up and have a good time. No need to feel too formal, but wear something that you're comfortable in! If there's an outfit you've been looking for an excuse to wear, this is your time to shine!
Through a gallery platform called Pixie Set. It's an easy way to receive, download, and share your photos from. All it needs is your email, your gallery password and a pin # which is included in your email. The gallery expires after 6 months for lifestyle sessions and 1 year for weddings. There's plenty of time to save your memories.
Depending on the time of year and amount of sessions I have, turnaround can be expected within 3-5 weeks for lifestyle sessions and 8-10 weeks for weddings. I do work a full time job in addition to photography, so times can vary. If for any reason I am delayed in editing photos (family emergency, illness, vacation. etc.) I will be sure to contact you as I am able with an update.
At this time, I do not offer printing services. I can recommend places to get prints at! MPix, Artifact Uprising, MixBooks, and Nations Photo Lab have a range of products from prints, gifts, and album creation depending on your budget!
Great question! I stared with a Nikon D3500 and when it was time to upgrade, I got my hands on a wonderful Nikon D750. Now, I primarily shoot on a Nikon D780 and I love it because it creates the dreamiest light and colors for my subjects! I usually pair it with a 50mm or a 35mm lens depending on the session type.
