I've always been a little mix of posed and natural when it comes to photographs. I find to have a couple photos that are posed and prompted makes for a fun session. It helps to satisfy the "Just one good photo for mom!" and a couple more authentic in the moment captures. It becomes the best of both worlds!

FAQ
Where are you located?
I'm located amongst the Holland and South Haven areas. There are so many beautiful photo opportunities along the lake, beaches, state parks, woods, and downtown areas!
How would you describe your photography style?
I use quality presets from the wonderful Dawn Charles that enable me to capture images that are timeless and natural. I love capturing moments, especially the in between ones. Whether it's the giggle fit your two year old falls into, the tender moments during an engagement session, or capturing the whole Brady Bunch family session, I am here for all of it!
What is the booking process like?
Great question! When you inquire, I'll respond with the available dates I have based on your request. I have locations I can recommend depending on what you're looking for.
Once we have confirmed a date, location, and time, I'll send along an invoice and form via Square that has information pertaining to the session along with printing rights, and separate email with a payment link for online (you are welcome to pay day of if that works best) I will also send a calendar invite via Google so it shows up on my calendar + yours as well.
The form MUST be initialed and signed to confirm your session to consider it booked. No photos shall be delivered until payment is received.
What should I wear?
I find it helps to find a color scheme you love, pick some favorites out of the closet, and go from there! Neutrals are my preferred color scheme as they stand the test of time very well. Photos are one of the chances in life to get dressed up and have a good time. No need to feel too formal, but wear something that you're comfortable in! If there's an outfit you've been looking for an excuse to wear, this is your time to shine! Dress up, dress comfortably, and dress for the weather.
Why do you schedule photos first thing in the morning or later in the day?
Depending on the time of the year, the sunrise and sunsets can make for some gorgeous photos! In the summer we have longer days, so the closer we take photos to sunrise or sunset, the prettier the lighting will be. The same rule applies for the fall as the days shorten. So all in all, your session will be scheduled according to how the lighting will look. Photos will take place in the earlier part of the morning or in the later part of the day, so please keep this in mind when scheduling outdoor sessions.
I will also keep in mind if you have littles, as sunset sessions can interfere with bedtime, I'm happy to schedule them a bit earlier in the afternoon so they aren't too tired for photos.
Can we order prints through you?
At this time, I do not offer printing services. I can recommend places to get prints at! MPix, Artifact Uprising, MixBooks, and Nations Photo Lab have a range of products from prints, gifts, and album creation depending on your budget!
When and how do we receive our photos?
Through a gallery platform called Pixie Set. It's an easy way to receive, download, and share your photos from. All it needs is your email, your gallery password and a pin # which is included in your email. The gallery expires after 6 months from the gallery delivery date, so there's plenty of time to save your memories!
Depending on the time of year and amount of sessions I have, turnaround can be expected within 4-5 weeks for family and lifestyle sessions. My husband and I have a 3-year-old along with a set of 1-year-old twins, and I also work a school year job in addition to photography, so at times, the turnaround time may vary, busy season depending. If for any reason I am delayed in editing photos (family emergency, illness, vacation. etc.) I will be sure to contact you as I am able with an update!
Do you charge other fees like travel or rental?
If other accommodations are needed, like the rental of a studio, or travel needs, the amount will be added to the base booking price of your requested session.
A $60.00 travel fee will occur if your session is taking place outside of my travel range. That covers my mileage there and back to a location.
How many images do we get? Do you provide RAW images?
Great question! I generally use 45-65 images as my base depending on which session you've booked with me, but there is a high chance there will be more. I select the images and sort the blurry, blinking, or the "not the best." I will not withhold images from you, as I'm a huge believer in giving you as many memories possible.
I do not under any circumstances share the RAW file. It's within my gift and editing skills to create magic with your photos.
What is your rescheduling/ weather policy?
Life and weather happens and I totally get it!
My policy is if I have availability to reschedule a session, I will do so, with the client knowing that it could be within a few days to week+. (Depending on the season, I can have a high or low volume of sessions) If I am unable to reschedule in your requested time frame, I will put you in touch with other photographers in the area.
If we are at the mercy of the weather changing, my policy still applies that I will do my best to reschedule you during your requested time frame.
If the session cannot be captured for ANY reason, I am not liable for not having captured the session.
Do you offer a sneak peek gallery?
At this time, I prefer to deliver the full gallery within the discussed turnaround 4-5 week time frame. Once I get to editing a gallery, it's easier to send the full gallery when ready, because I would have such a hard time picking favorites!
If I don't like the way something looks, can you fix it?
I will do my best! I do have to outsource photoshopping needs at $10.00 USD per image/ editing request. You MUST contact me within 7 days of the gallery delivery as I erase RAW + edited files from my editing program and external hard drives. There is a limit to what photo editing can do so I ask for patience during the process. Per my contract I send before your session, it states such details so we are all on the same page.
